Peggy-G, Eyewear

I developed the form and configuration of Peggy G Eyewear, the design, from the bone structure around the eyes of human skulls. I coloured them using a colour pallet of human eye colours. I named the collection after Peggy Guggenheim in honour of her discerning style and individuality. And, I flatter myself by thinking she would have liked a pair or two. I would have been honoured.

The colour at the centre are the range of possible colours of the human eye.

Peggy G Eyewear evolved from Parmenides . . .

The motivation for Parmenides was from seeing human skulls.  They are people who can’t see, but bear witness to events. They were there and are the material evidence. Their story tells the truth. Bearing witness, seeing and being witnessed, being seen. The colour of the centre elements are the range of possible colours of the human eye.

Giclée print on Fine Art Paper . . .

The original size of Parmenides is 90 h x 131w cm. As it’s a print we can reproduce it to almost any size. If you are interested in contact us with your idea and we will see what we can do.

We will limit them to 25, signed and numbered.
